After nine long months of pregnancy, the day that you get to meet your new sweet baby is finally here! This special time is supposed to be filled with feelings of pure joy and unconditional love for your new child. What many people don’t realize is that one in five new mothers suffer silently from Postpartum Mood & Anxiety Disorders like Postpartum Depression (PPD) and Anxiety, making it the number one birth complication to date.
Our goal is to not only start this conversation right here in Regina and across the province helping to end the stigma attached to maternal mental illness, we also want to create easier access to education and support during this difficult time and provide new mothers the tools and support they need to reclaim their health as soon as possible.
We are committed to improving maternal mental health in our province and although we are not mental health care providers, we specialize in postpartum social support, filling in the gaps of care and supporting women and families on their road to recovery. Figuring out where to start, however, can be difficult and overwhelming in the midst of a postpartum mood disorder. That’s why we are proud to offer private Postpartum Support Sessions to help simplify the process of building a treatment plan and clearly outlining the options available to you so you can get feeling better much sooner. We are here to help in any way we can because you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
